Alice Mawdsley is a UK illustrator currently based in Barcelona. She studied illustration at Falmouth University with her reportage work longlisted for the World Illustration Awards. Alice enjoys projects exploring different cultures, everyday life, architecture and food. Her work often focusses on reportage illustration, working with communities during her travels to create colourful drawings and screen prints that share the stories of the people she meets. Alice hopes to use illustration as a way to give other people a voice, whilst aiming to highlight the everyday similarities that connect us all.

Drawing and exploring colour palettes are key parts of her practice. You will often find Alice enjoying the openness and spontaneity of capturing moments on location, bringing her sketchbook with her wherever she goes.
